Staff Spotlight: Jaime Morefield

Jaime is our very own in-house scheduling wizard. From building schedules to managing their shifting complexities across our wide range of programs, she's the glue that holds everything together behind the scenes!

What's your role at Prestans and what do you enjoy most about it?

I am the Academic Scheduling Coordinator. I work with the Academic Team to build and confirm student schedules; I also help facilitate rescheduling. Before beginning this position, I was an English teacher, so I enjoy the fact that this work taps a different part of my brain. Having taught a few English courses at Prestans, I am also grateful that I get to be a part of the overall experience students and families have with our school. Additionally, I enjoy working with others on the Academic Team -- it's a good group of people!

If you could take any class as a student, what would it be?

I haven't taken a math class since high school -- retaking Calculus could be interesting (and potentially frustrating). As a reader and writer, I'd love to take any of our English courses and would be particularly excited by Words: Trades, Whispered, Roared.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love to read, write, play tennis, cook (not bake), walk, watch good movies, travel, and—most recently—play mahjong.

What's your favorite book, movie, or podcast right now?

I have a lot of favorites! I'd say my favorites of 2025 were:
